Generally made from metal these have hollowed blades which are comparable with a flower or pinwheel spinning.
Shurikens
A ninja throwing star styles spinner these are Asian inspired and are a popular choice. These ones don’t have a finger pad but are used like a key ring and spun around your finger. Contrary to popular belief these are harmless while spinning but I imagine if they are thrown then it could become dangerous. For this reason I don’t recommend them for kids.

The best bearings you can get are ABEC-11 bearings and are used in EDC custom spinners. Second best is definitely ceramic which is going to have your spinner running smoothly and without fault. Third best would be steel bearings.
